Fushigi Yuugi Perfect World
Man, it's been a long time since I've posted anything relating to Fushigi Yuugi! However, I went to Mitsuwa today and, by the grace of anime gods, I found the most recent FY Perfect World magazine. And, of course, there were some lovely pictures that I was compelled to scan for any of my friends that would like to see what's new.
I'm apologizing in advance for the poor scan quality, and for how big these pictures are going to be.
First things first, and that's the cover. The fact that all four Mikos are present is making me think that Watase-sensei is planning to write a Byakko Kaiden one day. ^_^
Every digest of FYPW offers some little treat to the rabid fans, and this time it was a 2008 calender. There are four images, and the first is the Genbu couple. I loved the rather quiet adoration that's flowing between the duo.
The second image was of the good-looking Seiryuu characters. I really wish things had happened better for Yui and the others. Seiryuu had such sucky Seishi, and a rather self-centered Miko, that the rest of the country was screwed.
The third image, and quite possibly my favorite, is of our handsome Suzaku Seishi. There's been an interesting evolution in Watase-sensei's art style, and it makes me fall in love with the original series all over again.
The last image is of the three Byakko Seishi and their beloved Miko. Suzuno looks like the quiet, geeky sort of teenage girl; I can identify with that. ^^;; Anyway, this simply piques my curiosity as to what happened in Sairou.
These final two pictures are of the more updated Suzaku boys. Apparently, there's some kind of Playstation2 game coming out that's focusing on them. They look different from before, but I chalk that up to gaming art styles rather than anime or manga accuracy. Poor Tasuki; I don't think he looks as hot as he usually does. However, Nuriko and Hotohori look absolutely rape-able.
