Moar Piccies!!
As promised, pics of my Steampunk outfit!! :D
I'm really happy with the way it looks. I found the little pouch/bag thingis (originally a binoculars case) at a antiques/collectibles/swap meet last weekend for like $3; it's a good finishing touch, I think. I'll be using it as a small purse since the only other place I have for storage in this outfit right now is my cleavage. The vest, when it happens, will have pockets, but so far I don't have anything, so I'm thrilled to find a nice little cloth-covered leather binoculars pouch for my keys and a hanky and stuff. I think I'm gonna add a small change purse to it; for extra bonus points, not all of the money in it will be from the late-20th-century/Canada. Nothing like the annoyance of time travel without enough spare change for a cuppa in the right currency when you arrive, amirite?
I also am down to the final stretch for my name. I've created a poll here too (I think, if I'm doing it right) with my final choices; I'd appreciate it if you guys could look at the person in the pics and select which name seems the most appropriate for them.
The persona is a genteely-impoverished minor noblewoman with an interest in exploration and paleontology, and a slight obsession with tea. She's probably very nice, is quite intelligent, but also slightly scattered. Hence the escaping wisps of hair. That has nothing to do with my inability to pile two-and-a-half feet of hair into an updo, honestly. No, really! XD
Haha, I am hiding so many hair clips under that hat. No, the skirt isn't pinned up like that; I just wanted to show off my petticoat lace. ;-)
See? Isn't that a great not-actually-a-binoculars'-case-no-really? It has blue-and-green flowers on coarse white cotton on it.
These are the names I'm considering. Which ones do you think fit?
