Better to start off w/the....

bad stuff right?!?:p

Blah stuff.....

*it has been rained allllll wknd, and it not only ruined our plans (we were going to head out to a local street festival) but is making me incredibly mopey
*my luck at Ebay is super sucking lately and it is pissing me off something wicked (the worst is when you see an auction has ended at a really great price, but you didn't get to it in time and hence missed the bidding!!Doh.Or another classic I see is when the bidding on an item I'm watching get's so frigging ridiculous that you could buy the damn thing for new at the same price, and sometimes even CHEAPER!?!WTF people??Doesn't that kind of negate the whole purpose of shopping on Ebay????Pfft)
*just found out about all the crazyness surrounding our current bank, WAMU, and now hubby wants to pull all our money out which is understandable but still a very real PAIN IN THE ASS (as I have all my bill pay and online schtuffs set up and just the way I like it) if it comes to fruition and we have to switch banks.Meh
*generally crampy and sore lately, and while I know this is actually a good thing (as baby and body is getting ready for the real deal) it still is not all that much fun.
*speaking of which, am still torn on getting a prenatal massage.Looking at two places but of course the cheaper one is a longer drive (not my fave activity lately), but the more expensive place is nicer and closer.Of course hubby just says suck it up and go to nice place!!But he is not the one that is both a complete tightwad and also doing the books!Oi.
*spending waaaaay too much money on eating out/delivery.I need to get my barefoot and pregnant ass back in the kitchen.STAT.;p

GOOD stuff...
*Slater is starting pre-school next week, again,(damn late b-day, as I know he would be down w/kindergarten if he was qualified) and he is very excited to see his friends/meet new ones (I am also looking forward to those few hours of 'alone' time, and perhaps even might do another Olive Garden midday date w/hubby before baby gets here.Mmmmmmm umlimited soup, salad & breadsticks!!**drools**)
*have most of baby stuff, just need to find a decent sling and luckily the rest can wait a little while longer (things like monitors, baby gates/playmat, etc)
*have not gained any weight these past couple of weeks (I've been at a steady rate, so that means while baby is growing I am losing, essentially)
*went to labor and delivery/birth center tour and nutritionist in the past couple of weeks, and both have given me a bit of peace of mind, which is nice
*splurged on jewelry making schtuffs, both from Ebay and Joanns sales, and have decided to make a shitton of new goodies while I still have a bit of free time (which came out to about 6 bracelets for hubby, 2 for Slater and 15 for myself along w/5prs of earrings and 4 necklaces.....which makes me very happy as all the things I made are a bit more comfy and casual and ME than my previous collection)
*met a couple of moms recently, so we'll see how that pans out, though as usual I am not sweating it or holding my breath.;p
*Kaylee (still deciding on spelling) is a total spaz, so much so even the midwife was amused/surprised/whatnot...and was extra careful when examining me because she knew not only that baby would shift if she put too much pressure on, but also I am pretty sore from all the damn movement pre-appt!But of course the catch being better too MUCH movement than too LITTLE.:/
*Slater is obsessed w/his daddies video games, and now has found an outlet....YouTube.Apparently they have both STUBBS (retro zombie game) and Bioshock (futuristic one) little blurbs on there, so now he no longer has to bug his dada to play, but rather just watch clips online.....and then proceed to come out into the living room and "eat my brain".Uhm, yeah.

Oh yeah....and SLATERS DAY OUT w/our childless friends was a huge success.
They took him to the childrens museam and then to the Navy Pier (a touristy kinda place that the museam is located at, w/rides and whatnot) and then back into the museam again, per Slaters request.LOL
I didn't do much other than go to my midwife appt, grab a bite to eat and pick up some bottles and whatnot at Kmarts 'baby sale".All in all the afternoon was pretty surreal as half of me was a nervous Nelly constantly watching the phone and waiting for Slaters (or Steves, as HE is really the overprotective one) check in calls but then the other half of me really dug having 'the day off', so to speak. And I knew Slater was having a blast, as he is the perfect age for most the stuff at the museam.
So they picked him up at noon, and brought him back around 7pm.From everything they told me and the pics I saw it seems everyone had a splendid time.
Afterwards we took our friends out to eat at our fave local irish pub (which Slater loved as the HUGE patio was open and he had lotsa room, and company, to run around with), and as it turned out Steve got home just in time to meet up w/us....which was awesome.
All in all it was a really, really good day!

Uhmmmm, yeah, I'd say that was a pretty hefty update.;)
