Random Slater update #135.....
Ice skating.....
Last week was exams, and he only passed 2 outta 3 tests (the "walking in skates" being the one he flunked) so he's still in level 1.
Well wed. was his last class of the season (I went ahead and signed him up for the summer session as he seems to dig it), and a couple of the other parents and his teacher agreed to watch him so he could hang out during the open skate that followed class.Well the teacher put on a funky music mix and I'll be damned if that kiddo didn't just start going to town out there on the ice!?!Not only was he going back and forth across the length of the rink, but he was flailing his arms to the music, wiggling his butt and the whole 9yds (hell towards the end he was even doing full fledged high kicks to the 'Kung Fu Fighting' song!!)
Suffice to say his teacher was totally flabbergasted and thought it was the coolest thing ever, she even went as far as to get inspired to use a couple of the songs both in her classes and in the 'tots' section of the upcoming ice skating show.
Damnit, I wish I would've had our video camera, because I soooooo would be spamming you guys w/his ice dance fever cuteness!!!LOL
In other cute, funny, but otherwise completely unrelated news we have a slavic tattooed martial art/police trained beefcake of a guy here doing work on our apartment and he just saw Slater w/4 black barrettes in his hair (that Slater WANTED to wear mind you, as his "hair was getting in his eyes", lol) and just got a mortified look!!!!Hahahhahhaaa!!!
Yeah, sorry buddy, silly stuff like that happens when you do this line of work (aka handywork at peoples homes....as I wouldn't really let the kiddo wear my hair products out and about town!LOL).;P
