I Could Sing of Your Love Forever..
Proverbs 3:5-7
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the LORD and shun evil.
Indeed. :)
The Lord disciplines those He loves. Thank You for Your love..
I'm grateful that He's put me back on track. With studies, with friends, with my mentors.. He's given me the time to meet up with precious friends especially this week, and I've caught up with most of my homework. On top of that, my studying for BT2s is picking up. I really thank God for all these things.. because I know that really, truly, I couldn't have climbed back up this way so fast if not for His strength.
And the passage I shared at Morning Worship today to remind us of God's love.. it touched me a lot personally too -- knowing that the guilt I felt for disappointing others, disappointing myself (esp in the area of my studies) was just God helping me to turn back to Him.
Psalm 103:8-13
8 The LORD is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love.
9 He will not always accuse,
nor will he harbor his anger forever;
10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve
or repay us according to our iniquities.
11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him;
12 as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
13 As a father has compassion on his children,
so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;
Other things that have spoken to me the past few days:
"Better is open rebuke than hidden love. Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses." -Proverbs 27:6
"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen." -Ephesians 4:29
"As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." -Proverbs 27:17
I don't know if people actually still read my blog anymore, but here's a challenge anyway: Consciously make an effort to love God's people, every day. You'll get more and more conscious about your words and actions - and learn to truly love people, out of an overflow of His love for you.. :)
