El-Elyon lunch & other happenings

One question: Why do so many people think I'm from the 11.30 service? (Because I sometimes go for 11.30 service..? Heh.)

Camp group + Kailyn & Sarah (after lunch) + Ben Lau, Seth, Kheng Hao, Hans, Nadia & brother (a while after lunch) was fun! I ended up not going for tuition just because of spending more time with them, man. I wouldn't miss it for the world - especially after missing one already when I was off enjoying myself somewhere else on the globe. After all, I haven't started this year's tuition so I'm just postponing it, therefore not doing anything "bad". Haha.

Conversation with my dearest cheng cheng shu shu (:D!), Tiffany and Joanna when we were waiting for the 1130 people to finish small group was super funny. CHENG CHENG SHU SHU! It really is quite a catchy name for Jia Cheng. Thanks to his "Counting is fun with Jia Cheng", that name is going to stick with him for a long, long time to come. Baby cookie monster had a real fun time being shown off by me, too! RIGHT BABY COOKIE MONSTER? :D

Marcus, Pearlyn, Tiffany, Joanna, Valencia, Mervyn and myself went to Hong Kong Cafe in PS for lunch. Kailyn and Sarah later joined us, and we were getting bored already before we went to meet the last gang of people who were mentioned in the 2nd paragraph. Hung around at Daiso before Mervyn came back (he walked off a while after lunch because he was feeling sian), then headed to Ben & Jerry's :)

Seth kind of treated us to a huge tub of B&J's ice cream.. Seth you really shouldn't have. But since you did, well, thanks! Haha. I didn't eat any though, because my mom and I promised each other to lose 3 kg by the end of February - we were appalled at the fact that she gained 2 kg and I gained 3 kg within 7 days in Japan. Besides that, my dad has hypertension and my grandmother has diabetes. Therefore, I have to watch my diet so I don't become so unhealthy or end up having health problems like that, since I have a higher chance of getting them. Heh.

I was supposed to leave for Physics tuition at 3.45pm, but I really didn't want to. I wanted to spend more time with my camp group when I could and wanted to talk to the other YMers who were there too. Well, in the end, my tuition teacher said I can start any Sunday as long as I pay after every 4 weeks. :)

I'm really glad I got to talk to Seth after such a long time, and Kheng too.

One of the highlights for me was actually talking to Kheng. We were talking on the way to Cathay and in B&J's as well. We were talking about hearing God's calling (through friends, thoughts, messages) and he was sharing his testimony of God's power too. 21 points, yet he managed to get into a course which maximum accepted 15-pointers! When he asked for direction, he received them in such an amazing way there is no other explanation but that it was God's will. Such a powerful testimony. This made me wonder, do I accept "coincidences" too easily? Like, the smallest thing that occurs, I would believe that it's God saying something. Now I see that when He speaks, there really can be no doubt about it. It will be perfect. My "coincidences" always have a so-called another possible explanation for them. Sometimes, I'm rather afraid. Like if God isn't speaking through this thing, I'm afraid that there isn't anything else I can fall back on to say that it truly was from God.

A little faith, maybe?

Valencia, Kheng, Nadia and her brother left after we were done at B&J's. We walked back to PS, where Seth and Ben Lau left. We had to pick Joanna up at the Park Mall bus stop, then Kailyn needed to give something to her friend at Park Mall. After they were all done, the group of people (except Pearlyn, Sarah and Kailyn who took the bus) walked to Wisma. The walk there was.. interesting, with Marcus telling funny grandmother grandfather stories and Hans telling us ACS Barker stories.

I got my beloved Starbucks Java Chip Frap again! :D Chilling there with the group was really nice too. The other girls (the fishes, haha inside joke) joined us after they were done shopping.Talked and talked and talked and talked, while Hans talked and talked and talked and talked on his phone. Hung around a while more after I was done with my drink, then I had to go because my mom asked me (while I was at B&J's) what time I would reach home and I told her 6+, 7+. It was around 6.45pm by that time, so I left with Tiffany and took the train back home.

Hmmm. Why do people automatically think of parents being very strict with me when I say I need to reach home at a certain time? I mean like it's better to obey them and keep that trust they have in me for abiding to what I say than to break that trust they have in me which would be so difficult to regain, yes? Besides, I want to honour my parents. After all, I am still under their charge so to speak - living in their house, I must live by their rules. :)
