Today's service was wonderful. We didn't have the forum about sex and stuff in the end though, but we got something SO much better instead. The Doulos team (OM ship, missions) came to speak to us today. (: Michael gave a really touching testimony. Worship was great too, all the songs were really good. Especially the one that Bobby wrote. Anyway, I went for both the 9.30am and 11.30am services. After the 11.30am service, I bought the book bag which the Doulos team was selling outside the hall.
I paid $15 for:
a Collins Dictionary & Thesaurus
an NKJV Bible
3 books
a LaRue CD
a Doulos keychain and..
a pen.
And thus, it seems like a pretty good deal. Hahaha!
Anyway, the sermon was just really great. I'm all fired up for God! ^^ God is just so good. God is good, all the time.
After 11.30am service, I went to PS with Stacy and the Crosstrainers for lunch at Long John's Silver. Then met Ainslee at AMK MRT station to meet Ainslee to borrow her cheongsam top. And, thanks Ass! =)
There's this void inside you which is always there, no matter what you do to try and fill it. Be it falling into depression, drinking, smoking, doing drugs, cutting, or any form of hurting yourself or others; they can never fill that void up. It's insatiable. I've felt that void, I've had that void, I've known that void. And I also know that nothing else can fill that, except Jesus Christ. Believe me. He knows you more than anyone else, He knows you so well because He created you. And only He alone can fill that emptiness you feel.
I know what it's like to feel helpless, to feel like you don't have control over your life anymore. It's a horrible feeling, and you just get depressed thinking about it. But it won't go away if you don't do something about it. You can't just sit down there feeling miserable your whole life, wasting it away, and you can't solve it by harming yourself or others either. Please, do what I did. Find Him. Find Him, because He's waiting for you too.
He loves you. No matter what. He died for you while you were yet a sinner, and even as you're still a sinner now, He still loves you. Seeing you living through each day with so much sin hurts Him too. You are not your own, you were bought at a price. I repeat, you are not your own anymore. Because Jesus paid so dearly for you, you should live no longer for yourself, but for Him.
"For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again."
-2 Corinthians 5:14-15.
