Too bad for me...
So, I didn't get that promotion. As a consolation prize, I was at least their second choice. I was beat out by a person with more experience (I had very little experience in this new department) and who was already in a management position, so I'm certainly not sour about it. He deserved it more then I did. I am happy I beat out the rest of the competition. :) There were a lot of highly qualified people going for the position, and out of all of them, I was the second choice. I'll be happy with that.
