Talk about FUN! Denver was fabulous!
Friday Night: We went to the 16th Street Mall and walked around. I've never had such a hard time finding parking in a downtown at 8pm, but once we found parking, it was worth the trouble.
hehe I made Jim wait an hour and a half just to eat at the Cheesecake Factory. He's not so sure it was worth that much of a wait, but I didn't care. I thought it was worth it! Yummy!!
Saturday: Oops, slept in. Oh well, that's what vacations are for! We went to Six Flags, which was fun, but not as fun as I thought it would be. Most of the rollercoasters are lots and lots of fun... The Twister II bruised my hip because of all the jerks, but otherwise, great fun. :) My favorite rollercoaster was the Backlash (at least I think that's what it was called). It's the yellow one! *grin* The crowds weren't too bad, so we were in the park by 10:45 and done with it all by 1:30.
After a nice nap, we went out and tried to find a WalMart so Jim could get a swimsuit. Granted, there are plenty of WalMarts in Denver, but that doesn't mean we could find one! We finally wond up almost in Parker at a Target. We got a swimsuit, and went to dinner at Joe's Crab Shack, where Jim orders a steak. (Granted, I ordered a steak, too, but I also got shrimp with it!)
Went back to the hotel after that, relaxed in the whirlpool and then had to goto sleep to get up early in the morning. We got out right before the bad rush hour started, YEAH!
All in all, great fun recommend it for all!
