"Do you ever wonder what happens to the words that we send..."

My (note-worthy) thoughts on tv thus far this season (that I've seen, that is):

Chuck
Chuck has been kicking some serious ass, as usual. The premiere had me worried with it's slight overabundance of silliness, but it's settled back into its usual funny-dramatic-touching-sexy-nerdtastic self. Chuck and Sarah continue to be lovely, The Awesomes continue to be awesome, and Casey continues to be Casey. It's quite the bright spot in my weeks.

How I Met Your Mother
I haven't had a lot of strong feelings about HIMYM this season. I don't think it's quite back up to par yet. The past couple seasons can't match the earlier stuff, but I feel like we're getting into the meat of the show, the intricate planning, which is what Carter & Craig are best at, so I hope they start working their lovely magic soon and making the show what it used to be. (The saving grace of the show, for me, are the actors: they love what they do and they do their best work and it really shows.)

Glee
Glee has just been... meh. The Britney episode was pretty horrendous, to be honest. I haven't been too pleased with the show since early in the first season, though. The pilot promised us a lot more than the show was ever able to deliver, and I find myself often wishing they'd gone the film route with the whole damn thing instead of driving it into the ground, which is what I'm scared will happen.

Bones
Goddamn, just with the premiere I was reminded of why I stopped watching this crap last year. It just isn't good anymore. Booth/Brennan is just awful now. Their characters (and others) were compromised long ago for this stupid storyline. I was a huuuuuuge B/B girl back in the day, but even then I subconsciously knew that it was more fun in the unresolved sexual tension stage than anything they could ever actually be. And now the whole fucking fanbase is ragging on the new girl who hasn't even done anything yet. I was like that back before Cam... who turned out to be a fantastic character. I was young then, and I'll excuse the little ones, but some of us are old enough to know that sometimes we should hold our judgement. Or that you can dislike someone and yet appreciate their purpose as a character. But whatever. Discussion for another day. For now, all I like about this show is staring at the pretty boys.

Mike & Molly
This show... I don't know. I will probably watch it to its death because Melissa McCarthy is just such a wonderful, talented, and beautiful woman (and so is Swoosie Kurtz!), but I don't know what to make of this. First of all, I like the main characters, but that's it. There's Mike and Molly and too much comic relief. They don't balance. When you add in the mostly subpar jokes, it just doesn't make for great tv. Outside of showcasing the talent of two actors who aren't toothpick-skinny, it doesn't seem to be doing much good for tv. We'll see what happens.

I'm also watching Big Bang Theory, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, and Parenthood. Still catching up on Fringe, then The Good Wife, and theeeen The Office. Anything I should be watching that I'm not? Please let me know!!
