"I must be looking for something, something sacred I lost..."
1) First, if you follow my Twitter, you probably heard about my super tacky outfit today. I took pictures to document it.
And it happened to be today that two separate people came to our door and therefore saw me dressed like that. It was a little embarrassing.
2) While I had the camera, I took a picture of me in my homecoming dress. (Mostly because krystal23 was desperate to see it!)
Thoughts?
(My inner Ghost Hunters fangirl is amused by the 'orbs' in the pictures. LOL, basement dust.)
3) I watched the Creative Arts Emmys. My personal highlights:
-NPH and Sarah Chalke being awesome in general.
-Lee Pace being tall adorable.
-Lisa Edelstein, “Sorry I ripped your envelope!”
-The magnifying glass gag, even if I knew what was coming. ;)
-John Cryer, “Open envelope, announce!”
-NPH running out to high-five the HIMYM Art Direction team
-“I’d like to say this was a total shock, but I actually got a fortune cookie that said, ‘You will win some high prize or honor.’ I really did. I got it four years ago, though.”
-Sharon Gless losing very gracefully. (Even if I’m upset she didn’t win.)
-Neil acting like a dog. ♥
-Sarah Silverman, despite her dress, being hilarious. “And Jimmy Kimmel, who broke my heart. I mean, who will always have a place in my heart.”
-“And to South Park and Family Guy for mysteriously entering in a different category this year.” Ahaha.
-Keith David winning an Emmy! Great actor, seriously.
-Jenna Fischer’s dress. GORGEOUS.
-“And I want to say thanks to my wife, who’s been there for me. The morning of the nominations, she went into the hospital for a month, and she got herself better so she could go buy a dress and be here with everybody. So thanks, honey, I love you.” I got teary hearing that, I swear. ♥
-Alan Cumming’s accent!
-Tom Hanks, mouthing “I’m not doing this,” pulling out reading material, and checking his watch during the exercise.
-And Will Arnett looking amused, but doing it anyway. And then getting pulled on stage. And then doing push-ups.
-“Oh my gosh, I’m so nervous and I’m hungry…”
-“This is so weird. I’m working and accepting an award.” :)
-The man who thanked Starbucks. We all owe that place so much.
-Kathryn Joosten winning an Emmy!! She’s brilliant, and deserves it so much.
-Masi Oka! “Well, if I could really manipulate the space-time continuum, for starters, I’d never be stuck on the 405 freeway ever again. Then I’d go back in time for a better joke.” and “Deadliest Catch is about guys who catch crabs. The good kind.”
-“Seriously, if I thought we had much of a chance to win this, I would’ve gotten my hair cut. For my radio colleagues, after all of us having a lifetime working in journalism and public radio, actually getting an award our families have heard of is just an incredible honor and pleasure.”
-James Pickens Jr. He’s hilarious. “I love cartoons.”
It was a great show.
4) THE EMMYS ARE TOMORROW NIGHT. I'm so excited. It's the only awards show that I watch the entirety of every year. ;aldsfj;jlasdk I've already got the red carpet stuff and the awards set to record on our DVR. I can't wait! :D
