0. “Liar, liar, pants on fire…”

Clark had spilled his guts to Lana. Told her all of his secrets for the second time. He was relieved when she didn't turn from him and run, or think him insane. He felt like a weight had been lifted as she agreed to not marry Lex Luthor and come back to him. He had paced and waited and gotten worried when she didn't come back.

Afraid Lex had hurt her he went looking for her. He could feel the anger building up inside him at the thought of Lex bringing harm to her at all. He had to control that anger he knew it. He went to Lex's and no one was there. He didn't know what took him to the church, but that's where he went. When he walked in he felt like someone sucker punched him in the stomach while holding a chunk of green kryptonite just to hurt him. He was just in time to see the woman he loved, the girl he was going to propose to say I do to Lex.

She had lied to him, and he was dealing with that betrayal now. It still haunted him even if she was no longer with Lex and wanting him. He couldn't let himself get hurt like that again. Clark trusted but when you lied to him? You shattered that and it took a long time to find all the pieces tro rebuild it.
