Some Dollhouse

Well, I think that the last three episodes of Dollhouse knocked it out of the park.

Enver Gjokaj continually impresses me. I'm always glad to see Victor. I thought he was amazing as the Topher-Doll this past episode.

Topher is firmly in place as my favorite character. While not everything I guessed about him after the pilot has proved to be correct, I still think Topher's journey will be about his moral awakening. In a way "Belonging" was a step back because he tried to do the right thing and it went horribly wrong in a lot of ways. I'm very interested to see where they take him.

I'm glad Paul left the Dollhouse and I'm not really looking forward to seeing him come back. (I'm assuming he will, but I haven't been spoiled either way.) The Paul/Echo dynamic was really creeping me out. I have a longer essay about sex with actives being wrong and the different character's reactions to it, but I'll have to save that for a different entry or I'll never post this one.

I really wish I cared more about Echo than I do. It's sad.

It was really cool to see Summer Glau and while I liked Bennett, she felt unfortunately too River-like to me. Her scenes with Topher were priceless and her interactions with Echo felt very slashy. I'd like to see her come back.
