This year in London
This is mostly for the sake of my own recollection and posterity, since I've resigned to the fact that I'm incapable of actually blogging like a normal human being (I'm guessing it's a genetic deficiency somewhere).
So, Alva and I have been in London for a bit over a year now and, I think, it's generally been an amazing experience. Expensive. But amazing. This is sort of a list of what we've been up to:

- Sep 08: Wicked. Great production value.
- Nov 08: Goldfrapp. Pretty good concert, not too remarkable.
- Nov 08: Paris for a long weekend
- Nov 08: The Faint. Amazing concert, lots of fun.
- Nov 08: Ladytron and Asobi Seksu. Pretty mediocre, sadly.
- Oct 08: Avenue Q. Decent, but not as good as the US group.
- Dec 08: Hamlet, with David Tennant and Patrick Stewart. Or, Doctor Who and Captain Picard, if you prefer. Great performance. =)
- Feb 09: Zorro. Great performance and music by the Gipsy Kings.
- Mar 09: Italy and Egypt for three weeks. Wow.
- Apr 09: Presidents of the United States of America. Great live.
- Jun 09: La Clique. A sort of cabaret/vaudville act, fabulous.
- Jun 09: Tour of the House of Parliament, with special permission from our MP.
- Jul 09: As You Like It @ The Globe. Pretty good.
- Jul 09: The Mousetrap by Agatha Christie. A bit bland, but decent.
- Jul 09: 39 Steps, based off of the Alfred Hitchcock style. Pretty amusing.
- Jul 09: Bloc Party. Not bad.
- Jul 09: A-ha. Not bad, even perhaps surprisingly good.
- Aug 09: Turkey for a bit over a week. Great place.
- Sep 09: Ben Hur Live. Rubbish.
- Sep 09: La Grande Macabre, English National Opera. Not to our tastes.
- Oct 09: Natacha Atlas. Was at a wonderful old church with amazing acoustics.
- Oct 09: La Cage Aux Folles, with John Barrowman. Pretty amusing.
- Oct 09: Zero7. Fairly awful.
- Oct 09: Buena Vista Social Club @ Royal Albert Hall
