SCUBA
Unggh, paaain. Every muscle in my body is acting like I injected a bargain basement bag of boll weevils subdermally. Blarg. Anyways, after two weeks of intensive lecture and pool sessions, culminating in a weekend in beautiful Monterey, Alva and I are now certified SCUBA divers. We spent the last two days waking up at 6 farqing AM, heading down the beach, swimming 1/4 mile out into the ocean, and then poking starfish and kelp beds 20 feet down, all for our 'open water' certification. Thankfully, with 7mm wet suits, diving in the Pacific was about as warm as your average pool. And there were only a few instances, over the four dives we did, where we felt we were going to be swept out to sea and end up in the Philippines. But ya, aside from the excruciating pain, it's a fun sport. I heartily recommend it. =)
