One of my supervisors advised I create the journal in javascript, but I figured out how to get the controller to pass it a more useful dictionary allowing me to do everything in the kid template with condition codes. My other supervisor complemented me for removing all of the "moving parts" from what, essentially, is just a static page.
So I finished except for two parts, each of which needs to display the final screen from a game that was played earlier in the session. My first supervisor said not to worry about it, he would take care of it in javascript. But what dirtying! I want to do it entirely in kid.
What an odd thing to be proud and protective of.
