does anyone have any expierience depotting Kryolan eyeshadows and did you use a kryolan palette? Thanks!

Hey lady!

I've always used the palettes or just the enormous single pots. Although I do have a red Kryolan that needs to be depotted from about 4 years ago. Username brokenpastxx (Helen) in punk_makeup did an excellent tutorial on how to depot eyeshadow within the last year- if you've got the time to search through, it's super helpful.

i know how to depot mac but i didnt know if kryolan were different because i do have some palettes but then I have a million pressed powder eyeshadows that take up all the room in my case & i think it would be cheaper to just buy kryolan palettes (theres someone selling them on ebay) instead of a bigger train case right now! i wanted to make sure i wouldn't fuck up my kryolan

Well Helen's tutorial, if I remember correctly, has you actually break up the powder in the pot and reconstitute with some sort of rubbing alcohol in the new pot you're transferring to. So I'm assuming it would work fine with Kryolan since it's just mixing up and then re-binding. I've never tried, but like I said, totally need to.

Speaking of which...I have a CRAPLOAD of makeup from my punk rock days that I don't really wear much, including a lot of nearly full pigments. Any chance you'd want to buy some samples?

i saw that tutorial, but im going to try to melt the glue & remove the metal pan from the eyeshadow
