Improving craft (interlude)
I've decided that I might want to pay more attention to blogs about writing to improve my creative writing quality. Myaru has been great with her rants, but I never fully pay attention to them like I started to tonight. And then I found myself looking over limyaael's rants and have found them very interesting if a tad daunting with the wealth of knowledge placed in some her rants. But I figure I'll just break it off in bits.
Really, that is my weakness: I take on way too much to soon! I really should remember that for future interviews. They love that!
P.S. I'd like to state here and now I love CLAMP! God bless their storytelling. Their work for Tsubasa: Resevoir Chronicle and xxxHolic has been the best so far! I'd also like to say that while CLAMP! has stated that these two works stand alone and yet are tied to each other (Basically both stories take place concurrently) I'd say that the latter works as a side story to the former. In one way it can be said that it justifies and clarifies certain evetns that occur in the former. Given the way these are occuring I would not be surprised if xxxHolic ends by becoming absorbed by Tsubasa. And the characterization for Sakura....simply perfect. You take the most innocent character and make her the most tragic...and it's justified sooo well.
I should mention that I'm also a fan of Subaru and Seishiro as well...
