It's Storytime!!!
There's no need to keep it secret, or keep it safe anymore. It's been announced: Mur Lafferty's the new editor of Escape Pod!!!!
I'm bummed that Steve had to make the decision to step down because what he did with Escape Pod literally changed my life. But I don't think he could have found a better person to take over the role of editor and starship captain than Mur F'ing Lafferty. And I think EP's ship will be having fun for a loooooooooooooong time. You can get Mur's take on it here, and visit the forum thread here.
She's got some kick ass people working with her that I've gotten to know over the past few years at the EA forums: Swamp (marshaldillon ), Heradel, Scattercat, and Occicat. (I don't think those last three peeps have LJs, but if you're on the EA forum, you've probably seen them there.
Mur's told me some of the things she has in store, and some of the other things she has in mind, and it's going to be a real blast. I can't wait to hear it. So punch the coordinates into the nav computer - it's storytime!
