I Don't Know...I Can Imagine Quite a Bit (of Strongbow!)

Cordell showed up on my doorstep this weekend with a bunch of suitcases and a pack of Strongbow.  The dude's a traveller and I dig that about him.  He had a friend who was driving out from NYC to transplant in LA who wanted a driving partner, and Cordell said, "Hey, I've got friends in LA."  So I took the Strongbow and sent him up to my in-laws house to spend the night.  You know, as we were/are at +1 capacity and everything.

I was planning on taking a picture of us while he was here to announce the fact he was back in town, and still might, but you all know how horrible I am with pictures.  Anyway, it's been fun hanging out with him for a few days. And it's been very helpful with the extra kid running around.   Last night we took the girls and our neighbor and her daughter up to the local street fair/festival, which was mostly fun.  Faces were painted, ponies were ridden, and afterward Strongbow was drunk (though not by the kids).

Who knows?  Maybe he'll come out a month from now, too?  It's good hanging with friends.

Yesterday, Claire went back to preschool.  Since she had a couple of weeks off, and since she's been with her cousin so much the last week, I decided I'd take her out to the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf before dropping her off.  We don't get a lot of father/daughter time, so this was a real treat.  And she was very happy that she got her own scone.  I took her to school afterward, pushed her on the swings for a few minutes, and then went off to work.  It was a good time.

This morning, she wanted to know if she could go to the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf for breakfast with daddy again.

I fear I've created a monster.

friends, claire, ryan cordell, my life
