Pressure, Pushing Down On Me

Neil Gaiman is not only writing a Batman comic, he's writing a Batman comic that deals with Joe Chill and Selena Kyle.  I think I just drooled all over myself.  And Grant Morrison is also writing the current  Batman series.  What an amazing time for Batman comics.  I should check some of the Morrison stuff out.

Also, I really need to see the Dark Knight soon.  (Not that it appears to be going anywhere.)

Last night, I added about 10 notches to my belt, 10 more wasps slapped or sprayed to kingdom come.  Emma and my father-in-law also probably killed an additional 10.  Some of these were inside the house.  I'm hoping that the majority of these were displaced (although I did find a few wasps making a new nest), but part of me is worried there might be a nest in the attic, which would be a real pain in the ass.

Somehow managed to drag myself out of bed this morning and polish polish polish more of Fallen Horizon, specifically the new big scene in Parish City that comes about 100 pages earlier than Spine Junction.  There's belly dancers, shrink-wrapped performance scriptures, all kinds of fun creatures, and Salvation ATMs.  But I feel like I'm still slightly missing something.  However, I'm pretty sure I'll figure that something out today.

Part of the reason I'm pushing to get the book all nice and polished up quickly is because this month is going to be hella crazy.  Emma and I are going on a little getaway this weekend, we're all going to see some friends in Washington it two weeks, the weekend after that is my cousin's wedding, and the weekend after that we're going to be taking care of my cousin's stepdaughter for a couple of weeks while he's honeymooning.  Yeah, two girls in the house, close to the same age -- chances of getting writing done are probably going to be slim.  So I'd really like to polish this sucker off ASAP.

Better get to it, then.  Wish me luck!
