If A Picture is Worth 1,000 Words...
Then with these two illustrations, I guess my story still has a balance of 3,000. Murky Depths showed up at my doorstep today, cheering me up immensely! Geez, does it look cool. Here's the Vincent Chong cover you're probably sick of seeing now. I'm seriously going to have to order a print of it.

I'm going to be staring at this one for a while. There's so much going on in it. I think my favorite part of this illustration is the golem deputy charging up the stairs. I love the way he looks -- hat and club and all! Quite a cool contrast between the two.
Also? That Mur Lafferty comic? Super sick and funny, and it's probably helped that I've been reading lots of children's books to Claire.
