After sleeping the day away because her player was, omg,
moving, D'anna woke to find a red light flashing one her mobile
phone. She glared at it and fumbled with a few buttons to make it give
up all its secrets.
Which, in this case was was a
voice-mail from her Aunt Jalynda telling her that a transport had been
arranged to bring her home for her birthday. A transport that was
scheduled to leave... IN TWENTY FRAKKING MINUTES! Lord Ares on a pogo
stick! Frak!
D'anna stuffed some clothes, another camera, and her stuffed frog into
her rucksack. She was half-way out the door before she remembered that
she couldn't just dash off into the night without telling anyone
anymore. She set down her sack and plunked out an email.

From Have space, will travel
Subject: GTG
Date: 1/01/06 - 6:17 PM FHST
Hey Froggy,
Got called home for the weekend. Aunt J's throwing me a party. My
transport leaves in a few minutes.
I'll be back as soon as I can. In the meantime, I'll have my mobile
with me.

She grabbed her rucksack, hit 'send' and hurried out into the night
Reading his e-mail - after his shower and before he joined Jake in bed - Krycek smiled. At least he knew this time, instead of wondering if she'd just disappeared. He shut down his computer and, feeling a bit less ill at ease, settled down to sleep beside his already comatose boyfriend.
