TUB RING YAO!
I went to see tub Ring last night YAO! It was awesome, except the sound was pretty bad and there were only like 15 people in the audience. They played all my favorited as well as stuff from their new album, I loved it. I bought their new album and all was well.I gave them cookies, the guitarist and base loved them.
SO, like 2 weeks ago I got an answering machine message. "This message is for Jaime and Ken, this is Russ harrington, Karla Brannen gave me your number, give me a call at 555-5555" I had no Idea who Karla was, had no Idea who Russ was, neither did Jaime. Apparently Karla is an adjunct at watkins and she referred us to Russ. Russ is a big photographer in town and was looking for hip creative young kids with ideas for backgrounds and stuff on his shoots. BAM! Sounded really cool so we finally got out to his studio today and had a nice interview I guess. He just told us about the sort of stuff he does and what he's looking for. We're going to try to pitch him some sample Ideas and see if he likes the way we think. We're really excited because 1 its money 2 its great experience and something to put on a resume 3 great contact 4 we get to work together and go on adventures looking for furniture and stuff in obscure stores. YAY!
And theres controversy at watkins over the censoring of a piece that is in thejuried student art show. Its not as much censorship, theyre putting a shrowd over it for now but hopefully it will be fixed soon.
