Your blood is hot and pumping
Faster than your thoughts are racing.

An amber sky
No Moon, No Stars.
The air is crisp and warm
Like the tounge of a stranger.
You look at the city around you
Dissatisfied.
Its one of those nights
You're standing next to your car, next to the freeway
And Jealousy grips you.
As other cars go speeding by.
You picture the veins
That cross the flesh of this beast
This Great Country.
The lure of forgetting it all
Throwing caution to the winds and just
Getting away.
Your head spins
A collage of music, motels, drinks and women.
You could have it all
If only you could take life by the throat
Rip it out
And drink it all in.
