Dystopia Review

I was looking for a new game. Something thrilling, fast-paced, and with good graphics. Luckily there is a game out there like that; and if you already own Half Life 2, then you can play this for free. The game? Dystopia.
The game its self is set in a cyberpunk future not too far from now. Like Counter Strike the game features teams and menus to customize your player. You choose from Team, Armor Class, Weapon, and Upgrades. Each Team (Punks or Corporation) gets three sets of armor: Light, Medium, or Heavy. The heavier the armor, the slower that unit will move, but the bigger the weapons, and the more Implants or Upgrades it can have.
Upgrades are what add to the unique feel for the game. Some include Infrared, Motion Detection, Jump Implants, and Cyber-Jacks.
Cyber Jacks make the game. Not every character needs to be a Jack, but every team needs one. The fight is fought on two fronts, reality, and cyberspace. In cyberspace everything has a glowing wire-frame feel and it is hard to tell up from down at times. Jacks come here to unlock the path for their counterparts in the Real world. If there is a Terminal, Door, or Turret that needs hacked it is done from Cyberspace.
The last thing are the graphics. They already have a shoe-in because this is a Half-Life 2 Mod; however, I have seen some pretty ugly mods. This is a Total Conversion and uses very few models or textures from HL2. The shading, lighting, and map layouts are both fun and lend them selves greatly to hours of unending game-play (this is good because as of now they only have released one Official Map and one Unofficial map).

I give this a 4/5

Fluid Gameplay: +1
Half Life 2 Mod: +1
Stunning Graphics: +1
Originality: +1
Variety of Weapons and Armor: +1

Only one map (two if you get the unofficial one): -1
