Not Safe Anywhere Anymore...
Ottawa has become a scary place for pedestrians/bus travellers in the past 24 hours.
Last night a girl in her twenties was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street to catch the bus on McKenzie King Bridge - she had the right of way. They were loading her onto a stretcher when my bus arrived and we ended up being stuck there for a while.
Then this morning two buses crashed, injuring at least a dozen passengers.
That does it. I'm staying home and never coming out again.
