My Desk

I spend a lot of time at my desk. I've spent three years working on making it the ideal workspace for myself. The most important parts of my desk are my shelf and the wall behind it, the desktop itself, and the drawer.

On the shelf there are a variety of items. At the far left of the shelf there is a basket containing all of my game manuals. Next to this is a robots cap. A small knight stands guard near it. Near this is a jar of dice. Above this is a genre depicting a knight charging in on his sturdy warhorse, where several guards hold him back as the soon to be rescued princess looks on ... Interrupting this gallant scene is a pot with my recorder in it.

Centered on the desktop is a monitor and the keyboard that goes with it. To the right of this is a large tangle of wires and my computer. To the left of the monitor is a yearbook and my pencil cup. Ever farther to the left is my drawer, possibly the most interesting thing yet.

On my desk is my drawer. This drawer has two sections. The one on the left holds all my games, while the one on the right, my junk drawer, contains a throwing star, my headphones, a useless pencil sharpener, an eraser, and a rubber band. As I close it, it makes an interesting grating noise. On top of my drawer I have a small collection of Legos, a video camera, my rock collection, and my watch.

My desk is a thing to be appreciated, if you like an orderly, if somewhat aloof, workspace. As well as this, it makes a fine spot to just relax and kick back.
