(no subject)
Well i haven't seen or talked to you guys for ages which will mean 2 things..... You are obviously all missing me greatly and your not doing anything to get excited about that you want to invite me too. I on the other hand have been very busy. This evening i went to a meeting at the clandeboye Dairy factory where they decided to make me CEO of Fonterra ok so not quite yet but i'm working on it. What did happen is that we took a tour of the facilities and even though i drive past every day it was cool to have a look around the plant and learns some facts ....
FACT1: The boilers at the factory consume 300 tonnes of coal every day which is a truck load of coal so to speak (literally 20 truck loads) i.e A LOT !!
Fact 2: The steam produced by those boilers heats the milk dryer to 220 degrees which means that when the milk goes in it is almost instantly turned into milk powder.
Fact 3: The dryer they are currently building will just about double milk powder production and hense double the coal consumption. They are looking at building a train line out to clandeboye to help ship the coal and the milk products.
So now that the majority of you have either fallen asleep or stopped reading I will say i am also looking forward to this BBQ on Friday nite and i reckon i will go although sadly i will keep up the tradition of being the driver as i have work on saturday @ 9. However next week looks like it will be my last one at work and after that i will take a couple off to get ready for uni. Dad re-read my papers and it looks like i will go down on Sat the 21st of June. And if anyone is still reading WELCOME HOME LAURA !! hope to catch up and hear all about your trip and i know one guy who will be very happy your home (won't you grant) anyway should catch you all at the weekend. someone should plan something for Saturday nite !!
