Picspam!! with a capital P!

is Venice really that romantic? to tell you the truth, there are a hell of a lot of tourists who are squeezing through the narrow alleys! and i really mean hell of a lot!
and Venice is rather smelly, and i'm not speaking about the smell of roses... but all in all it's still charming! and the architecture is amazing!
it's so hard to choose pics to upload because how to limit them?

we went by bus for about 4 hours till we arrived in Venice, which wasn't too bad in the morning but the driver on the evening bus seriously wanted to kill us! either that or he didn't understand the meaning of "give way" in his driving lessons!

and Venice is hot, hot, hot!

sadly no Gondola Ride for us, way to expensive! but it looks to be soo much fun!

Venice is also one big construction side, sadly many buildings are being renovated right now.

there are so many small "Piazzas", some of them are not so close to the usual tourist routes and you can just sit down and chill for a bit

Gondola!

that's the main channel through the city

that's Piazza di Marco, isn't it amazing??

The "Basilica di San Marco"

all over the Piazza di Marco are those pink street lamps, i want one of them for my garden!!
also: there weren't as many pigeons in Venice than i thought! stories about bird infestations are highly exaggerated! (or maybe it was to hot for them? )

one of the many bridges to cross in Venice! and look at all those peoples!

and i've had the best Pesto alla Genovese ever! searching desperately for a good recipe!

and if you're still alive after that picspam, I come bearing another one! this one from my 3days holiday in the mountains, called "Saualpe"

I only took Bhawani with me because while hiking I didn't want to leave Benny alone in the shack and the hike is too exhausting for him, so he had holidays with my mom.

our shack!

the inside of our shack! (no, not mine, only rented)

Bhawani in the garden

our neighbors

the weather was scary and we were so lucky it held until we arrived back at the shack, than in rained cats and dogs!
up on the peak I literatly had my head in the clouds! on the first picture you see, or better said you don't see, the peak that's completely concealed by the clouds
and it was sooo cold! Bhawani was allowed to sleep in my bed under my blanket because it was so freaking cold! when i went out close to midnight i could see my breath coming out in puffs!

on the way up

Bhawani by the "Eiserne Kreuz", it the script at the cross is to be believed Kaiser Joseph is responsible for it standing there (and isn't if unbelievable that after zillions of picspams i actually got the rotate part right?)

Bhawani on the peak, sleeping under my feet in between rocks. Gertrusk, the mountain, is about 2044 metres high.
