Pairings: Dean/Cas, mentions of past Dean/Lisa, and a bit of Cas/OC.
Summary: Cas’ last words were, “Oh, God, I would give anything to change this.” He didn’t believe in answered prayer anymore, so he was more than a little surprised to wake up two years in the past, in a world that Dean and Sam had saved. Dean was busy trying to settle into that normal life he’d promised Sam he’d try, and he’s not thrilled when Cas shows up, putting all of that at risk.
Still, Dean knows he owes Cas, and so they find themselves together again as familiar strangers, and they’re both going to have to let go of the past in order to move forward.
