It's been quite a while since I have updated, so let me catch up on logging my super-exciting existence.

Work has been going pretty well. One of my co-workers got promoted to GM of our cafe today so she will be my new boss. I am sincerely happy for her and will try to support her efforts. (Right after I do cartwheels, pop a bottle of White Star and kiss my District Manager for it not being me.) I was a GM for a restaurant before and it royally sucks!! If you are some sort of automaton freak who does not want a second to yourself (including on your days off) it is the PERFECT job! With that being said... "At this point in my life, I don't think that it would be fair of me to accept a position that I am not totally passionate about. In the future, my feelings may change and if that time comes, you will be the first person I inform." That was what I told my DM a few months ago when he started to push me in the direction of preparing to take over the cafe. Don't get me wrong, I am not lazy (at work) but I am also no dummy. The financial benefits are somewhat greater but definitely not worth the crap.
Finally got the yard looking like something other than an Amazon jungle.  It took me hours to do all of the trimming.  Including the side and the front sidewalks, that is 270 linear feet of sidewalk that I have to keep grass off of or else the city of Salisbury will feel the need to eat my first born  fine me.  That also does not include the crap that grows in between the cracks.  The insurance adjuster came out recently and I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of Service Magic on Friday.  They will be the ones removing the soot from our home, which until then, I will lovingly refer to as CO Manor.  R and I have a (fun?) task of choosing our new heating source.  I am partial to getting two vent-free gas stoves.  One for upstairs and one for down.  They are 99.9% efficient and some come in very cute old-time styles with the scrolled legs and whatnot.  I think that they would be an appropriate addition to our home.  The only thing I am concerned about are the start-up costs which could be considerable because we have and old oil tank with oil still in it that we would probably have to get removed before they install the LP tank and pipes.  We shall see... Well, R is home and I gotta go see my woman, but I will try to update some more tomorrow.
