My neighbor is adorbs

My neighbor is adorable. I've written about him before but what happened is yesterday he knocked on my door and said his internet was down. He asked if he could use mine because he needed to look up something on PayPal and his girlfriend? roommate? tried using her phone and it was just getting ridiculous. I have wireless and so I gave him the password to my network and jokingly asked if he was going to start gangking my internet.

"No, no, no. It's just for today. I wouldn't do that! And also you can kick me off if you wanted to."

He then launched into an explanation of how I can search for his IP address and kick him off my network. He told me a story about how his dad used to monitor his internet activity like crazy and would kick him offline sometimes. How his father had a box with the router under lock and key, literally, to make sure he and his brother wouldn't watch porn online. Anyway, he asked me if I knew how to give permission for people to be online. I told him I didn't but that I could figure it out.

Anyway, when he left I started thinking, "Wait, he totally could start using my internet for free. There's nothing stopping him now. Maybe I should ask him if he wants to just split internet with me." Internet only costs me $10 a month, so really what's $5 to him?

Hours later he knocks on my door again and asks me if I want a smoothie! How adorable! He was about to head out to the grocery store to pick up fruit and wanted to see if there was anything I was allergic to or didn't like. You guys! How f-ing sweet! I told him to get whatever it is he wanted and to not worry about me. And while he was at the door I mentioned my idea of splitting internet. Turns out he doesn't even have an internet plan because he's been stealing wireless from the Academy of Art, which is next door. He said it sounded like a good idea but he had to talk it over with "her."

Just as I was about to start my weekly group meditation there's a knock and my neighbor is standing outside with a little styrofoam cup and there's a woman with him. He said they both checked out the speed of my network on their computers and decided, yes, they would pay for the use of my internet. All he had was a $20 so he paid me for the next four months. And then he handed me the smoothie and introduced me to the lady. (I have to admit it took me a minute to answer because I almost introduced myself with my Sanskrit name.) As he ushered her back into their apartment he touched her back familiarly in such a way that leads me to believe they're dating. So there you go.

But the point is my neighbor is adorable! I know my neighbors' names and we share internet and they make me smoothies as a nice gesture and everything! I love my apartment! I love my building! I love San Francisco! I mean how awesome that I'm friendly with people? I feel like I live in a little community because I'm on familiar terms with the manager of my building too. Rock!

Also, I find it interesting that I've still been feeling like I want more money to come in my life because I have this huge credit card debt to pay off and I'm finding all these little ways to do so. I mean, $5 a month isn't a lot, but it's something. That's bus fare.

Lastly, my sister is coming into town tomorrow! GAH!!!!! I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I haven't seen her since December! We're going to have so much fun!!
