*For all my fans, here is a sneek preview of my novel, "Iraqi Heat" so, enjoy.*
--------------------------------
from the 19th Chapter:

The Italian Air Force landed in the little area in Saudi Arabia as Nicola Schirru was the first Italian pilot to step out of his Panavia Tornado IDS. The British Royal Air Force base was a total disaster. Mario Ciano looked around while other Aeritalia AMX and Panavia Tornado IDS fighters, along with a C-130H carrying Italian supplies and troops landed on the runway as Both Alessio Piovano and Mario Ciano walked inside the heavily damaged base..
"You, who are you two?" Sian Church said.
"I'm Captain Alessio Piovano and this is my commanding officer, Wing Commander Mario Ciano, we're Italians."
"You're Italian Air Force?"
"si," said Mario Gorgani, who came inside. "We've been sent here by the United Nations to assist the opposing force against Iraq."
"Um. Flying Officer. Sian Church, what happened here?"
"Last night, while we were positioning our Panavia Tornado GR.1s and our Blackburn Buccaneer S.2As, the Iraqis on the northernmost sector near the Kuwaiti border, fired their SCUD-B missile batteries at us and at the United States Air Force airbases here in Saudi Arabia."
Viviana Romani then walked inside as Mario Gorgani stepped out...Alessio Piovano couldn't believe it as he looked at Mario Ciano, his commanding officer.
"Look's like the Iraqis got a new weapon, Scuds."
"Captain Piovano?"
"si, Mario."
"Are all our jet fighters and our equipment here?"
Viviana then started talking.
"They are now."
Outside, since it was morning, Nicola Schirru and Mario Gorgani looked around the airbase. Italian troops and other AMI personnel were running around the base.
"You ok, Gorgani?"
"Alessio told us about a new weapon that the damn Iraqi bastards got. Scud missiles."
"With our Panavia Tornado IDSs and the Aeritalia AMX interceptors, the Iraqis don't stand a chance."
RAF Group Captain. Adrian Smart walked up to Mario Ciano as they shook hands. Adrian Smart was the flight leader for Britain's Panavia Tornado GR.1As
"I understand that you just got here!"
"Yes, signore. Smart, as part of your opposing force to retake Kuwait."
"And who's this?"
"I'm Captain. Alessio Piovano, sir."
"Group Captain. Adrian Smart, Royal Air Force."
"I see that we're now allies."

(Note: Yes, Viviana Romani is 'played' by Charlotte Church in the novel, who flies a Italian Aeritalia AMX fighter)
