Adrian Smart fanfiction story continued.........
A few hours later and Adrian Smart was back in his quarters, playing his harp as he stopped to look at some more photos of his family...He was so proud that he never had thought he'd be the only descendant in his large family to command a Starfleet battle group near Earth. Sian Church later stopped by his quarters as he gave him some sad news.
"Uh, Captain?"
"Yes, Sian Church, what is it?"
"We've just recieved word from the entire Federation fleet, They're under fire sir!"
"Sian, to the bridge!" Adrian Smart said as they both left for the bridge.
Sian Church and Adrian Smart went to the bridge as everyone was at their posts.
"Lt. Elizabeth Peacock, put Starfleet Emergency Channel on audio."
"Audio, I sir." she said as she turned it on.
(-"Federation fleet to flagship 'Montrose', stand by to engage at section 1-0-9 mark 3."
-"Starships, 'Titanic' and 'Utah' fall back to position 4."
-"This is the Starship 'Maryland', we have the unknown fleet within visual range."
Then, there was a communications cut off as Admiral Xavier's voice took over.
-"This is Admiral Xavier, of the Galactic Empire, your fleet is no match for our Imperial fleet, your planet is now part of our Empire, you will be crushed and you will service the Emperor..There is no escape..."
Then, Admiral Granger's voice took over.
-"All Federation starships, open fire!"
-"Engage the Imperial fleet at grid 7-4B."
-"We've got heavy damage to several starships!"
-"We've got 12 dead on the Intrepid, wounded reports coming in sir!"
-"Hull Breech on decks 5 and 7."
-"Starfleet Command, we need serious reinforcements right away here, we're being thrashed!"
-"Three Imperial Star Destroyers jumping on the 'Madrid'.."
-"Casualty reports coming in from the 'Repulse'.."
-"Starships 'Utah' and 'Maryland' breaking off attack run due to--skksskksssskksskskksssskk--heavy weapons fire.")
Adrian Smart then, turned off the audio report as everyone looked frightened. Sarah Limerick stood up from her chair as Adrian Smart was about to speak.
"It would have seem that our fleet is being thrashed around while this Imperial fleet of the Galactic Empire is about to invade Earth...If anyone disagrees on what are we going to do, then please say so."
Sian Church stood up from his navigator console as he finally bagan to speak.
"I speak for us all that...Let's go and kick some ass!"
"All right then,"
Adrian Smart then took his chair.
"Red Alert, Elizabeth Peacock, set a course back for Earth, at warp 5."
"Warp 5, course laid in."
"Engage!"
The USS. Atlantis then, went back to Earth as it gained warp speed.
Back at Earth, a Victory Star Destroyer was hovering towards the planet as five photon torpedoes smacked against it's hull. The Federation fleet was still engaging the Imperial fleet as laser and torpedo fire filled the area. On the Akira-class starship, the USS. Pilar, was being slammed hard by laser and ion cannon fire as it's shields was weakening. Captain Victoria Paddington got up from having her chair being blown off.
"Status report, Miss. Montague?"
"Main power's out, shield's are weakening, our weapon's systems are gone."
"Prepare for a collition course!"
"Captain, there is another starship heading in, it's the Atlantis sir!"
"That's Adrian Smart's ship!"
As the Federation fleet continued to hammer the Victory Star Destroyer, the Atlantis flew right in front of the Pilar as it was now being hit by the Victory Star Destroyer's weapons.
"Mr. Roehrig, what's the status of the Federation fleet?"
"The fleet's suffered heavy losses, mostly lightly defended starships, the heavy cruisers and others of our warships are all severely damaged."
"Elizabeth Peacock, visual."
The main viewing screen was turned on as they could not believe their eyes.
"That's the Imperial fleet, damn, we're outnumbered."
"Adrian, Admiral Granger's ship has just been destroyed along with the 'Enterprise-E' sir." Sian Church said.
Adrian Smart took one more look at the Federation starships combatting the Imperial fleet..He later decided to take command of the entire fleet.
"Sarah, open a channel to the fleet."
"Channel open sir."
Then, he finally spoke.
"This is Captain Adrian Smart, I hereby taking command of the Federation fleet. Target all of your weapons on that limping Victory Star Destroyer...Await my signal."
Then, a rapid beeping noise was heard.
"Adrian, the fleet's responded."
"Return fire!"
The USS. Atlantis and several other starships returned fire at the severely damaged Victory Star Destroyer. The Akira-class starships, USS. Utah and the USS. Maryland also returned fire with the Defiant-class starships, USS. Rapier and the USS. Mustang as the USS. Atlantis fired all of its weapons with several Excelisor and Galaxy class starships as the limping Victory Star Destroyer exploded while three Imperial Star Destroyers soon fired on them.
