I wasn't sure what to expect when I found this movie the other day, but I thought I would give it a shot simply because Jordan Ladd is in it. Cabin Fever is a favorite of mine so I feel obligated to watch some of the movies those actors go on to make, plus it looked creepy, to boot.
Grace is a story about a woman, who after many failed attempts, gets pregnant. When a car accident kills her baby inutero, she decides to carry the baby to full term anyways. To everyone's surprise baby Grace is born alive, but there's a huge price to pay.
I thought this movie was awesome! It was creepy and made me feel uncomforable at times. I love it when a movie can gross me out. Things are so over done these days, that buckets of blood don't phase me, but when a baby bites it's mother's breast while breastfeeding, and makes her bleed sent cold chills down my spine. I guess sometimes, less is more.
It had a solid story line with good solid characters and acting. There wasn't much about this movie that I didn't like. It debuted at Sundance and I've read that people actually passed out during the screening of it - awesome!
Check it out. It's pretty great, and just remember to ask yourself one question...
What lengths will a mother go to for her child?
