666 The Child

First of all, let me say that my opinion of this movie may be slightly distorted after sitting through 666 - The Demon Child. I just wanted to put that out there in case someone decided to watch it and tell me I'm crazy. But 666 - The Demon Child was sooo awful that there wasn't really much that could have been worse.

But I digress.

666 The Child is a story about a kid that is the only survivor of a plane crash. He gets adopted by a couple who think he's just a helpless orphan, but they soon find out that he's very powerful. He is the beast and the end of the world is near.

So I'm just going to put this out there and say that this movie was an Omen knockoff. It had the priest, the slave, the parents who start putting two and two together, the kid going after the mother.. but unlike the Omen, this kid was older and of some sort of Asian decent. They say he's only 9 in the movie, but the kid playing him (Donald instead of Damien) is obviously way older than that.

But I must report that the movie wasn't half bad. I was never bored and I didn't fall asleep even though I started it at almost 3:30am.
It wasn't the masterpiece that the Omen was, but it wasn't a pile of junk either. It also has a sequel called 666 The Beast which I will be watching sometime in the next few days.

And in case anyone is wondering, I was able to skip a handful of movies that were next on my alphabetical list. I've seen them all MULTIPLE times and I'm sure most other people have too.

2001 Maniacs - amazingly gory flick starring Robert Englund and a podunk, backwood, imbred town of many. I watch it at least once a year.
28 Days Later - If you haven't seen it, then you should! Zombie Movie at it's best!
28 Weeks Later - The sequel to 28DL that was just as amazing.
30 Days of Night - Vampire movie with CG like Sin City. I didn't like it the first time through so I wasn't going to watch it again.

4th Floor was also on the list, but the copy at the store was unplayable, so I am waiting for it from Netflix.

Next in line to watch is again 666 The Beast and 7 Mummies.
