Today I started my preparations to quit smoking. With the exception of when I was pregnant, I have been smoking for about 10 years. It's going to be so hard, but I'm mentally ready to do it.
I've got to cut down to 14 smokes a day for the next 3 days and then I have to buy a pack of disgusting cigs that I won't want to smoke. I'm thinking some kind of cheap menthol.
Then Monday I start on the patches. It's a 10 week program but I'm hoping to only have to do the 6 week program.
I want to be healthy for my kids and my future grandkids, and let's face it - I will save ALOT of money by not smoking.
I'm already doing better than expected. It's 5pm and I've only smoked 2 cigs today. I would be at about 8 normally. Yay me!
Wish me luck! I'll keep everyone posted on my progess.
