I wasn't going to watch it at first, but after reading some reviews, I decided to give it a go. I actually liked it, not having much previous knowledge of the comic book continuities to clash with what I saw. The dude that played Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) was pretty cute, with his big blue peepers and his cheesy pickup lines (this is the first time I've ever seen someone use genetics as a basis for a pickup line). The guy playing Magneto was kinda hot (Michael Fassbender), although his Irish accent started to slip through late in the movie. The story was okay (and surprisingly, not very anti-CommunistRussia). Lots of action, shit exploding and special effects. I'm not a good judge of what makes a good story or not, but I was happy with it. Shaw was obviously despicable, but he was fairly affable for an antagonist. He seemed to be channeling an Austin Powers/ James Bond villian vibe, what with his furry coat and weird decor. Emma Frost, on the other hand, seemed to be projecting a My-Little-Slutty-Arm-Candy-slash-Spy-Barbie theme. Banshee and Moira MacTaggart were American, even though I remember reading somewhere that one's Irish and one's Scottish. Banshee actually looked like Ron, from Harry Potter. With super-sonic and sonar voice powers. :D
