The week is finally over
The week is finally over. Thursday night before last my grandmother suffered a massive stroke. My aunt flew into the city Saturday morning and we drove down together. The group of us spent the week at her bedside or funeral planning. She finally passed away on Thursday morning and we had the funeral today. I am really tired and not just from the situation. I gave up the bed to my aunt and slept on the blow up mattress.
On a happier note, my mother and I are going to be flying out tomorrow and should be in Amsterdam by Wednesday morning. This is the first time my mother has been in the Netherlands since her family moved to Canada all those decades ago and she has wanted to do this for a long time. Hopefully it won't rain the whole time, but we are prepared if it does.
