yeah, i'm bored. i've actually been sitting here for an hour now, staring blankly at pretty much a column and a plant...i'm glad i'm on the other side of Suck this summer as far as jobs go.
i didn't see my BK mystery shopper in the library today. then again, she printed out her "You're a Superstar!" secret shopper certificate yesterday, so i didn't really expect her to be here. i think it's funny when she comes over to the desk and i have to make her pay 10 cents for her copies. she never used to, you know. now my supervisor, Cris, makes me enforce the Law of the Printer because she's "quite the con artist, she is." i think it's funny when she tries to say a blank page that printed isn't her's, when it clearly is. i love her excuses and her feigned expression of confusion. she doesn't have to pay for the blank ones, but i don't tell her that, i love to hear her try to weasel her way out of an imaginary charge.
i wish i had work to do. i guess i can always read; i do that a lot here.
life's tragically simple and boring here in the sault. HOWEVER, i do like my little Round of Wit that i have with the Lake State office of Financial Aid and the Business Office. so i have my scholarship check actually at the financial aid office, i just came from there, right? and then i go to the business office to tell them that all i have to do is wait until they process it and that once this happens, then they can take the protection off of my account so that i don't receive any late fees. this woman tells me: "i don't know if you can get a scholarship for only part-time in the summer." to which i point out: "um, ok...but the check is already in the mailbox in the next room." "well, we'll just see about that, i guess." ok, you know what? i feel that i was perfectly justified in taking a fit just then, which i did shortly after exiting the building. and damn was it loud. so apparently LSSU doesn't accept a check in their mailbox if i have less than 6 credits. did i tell you taht the check was already in the mailbox? because it is. signed by the people who gave it to me. they know how many credits i have, i faxed them my damn bill. but "we'll see." yes we will, because Crazy 'Ol Matt is going to be checking everyday to see what the haps are, and he will get that check processed if he has to do it himself. end crazy spell.
anyways, i have to go take a head count of the people in the library so that i have purpose to my job, life, etc. later.
