[1:11 pm]
Today I'll just mash together whatever I learn today, and probably some of the previous stuff I learned before this that I haven't put in the first "game". I'll try to put in the same basic mechanics I practice in the first game, blurring, hit collision, etc, in the second one so I can gradually solidify what I learned without having to check the book every second to find out how to do them again.
[8:44 pm]
This felt pretty rushed due to the amount of new stuff I was playing around with and with the limited time, and it wasn't that enjoyable making as I wasn't really sure what to do with a bunch of random new stuff mixed together. Still, I did finish early so it'll give me more time to hit the book to learn more stuff.
I also slightly updated the first game as I learned how to add music, I think. I'm not exactly sure on how I added music, so it was much less learning and more just accomplishing since I wasn't sure what I did to make it work. Coincidentally, Gee's lyrics did go along with the game.
Added Features
* Movement with rotation (still unfamiliar with)
* platformer aspects (gravity, platforms)
* Keyboard usage (left, right, up, down to move boundaries around)
* Buttons - Didn't really feel like practicing the button code by just making a start button or quit button, but making the actual main character the button itself.
Slowly starting to get the hang of this. Actually, I better code both of these with start buttons as it's kinda odd having all these programs running simultaneously.
