I love my puppy...
I came home from a stupid midterm (Cell Regulation and Control - it was 19 pages long...WTF? It was a 2 and a half hour midterm and we only had an hour and 20 min) to the above. He was so proud of himself.
Just for the record, we *thought* the lanterns were out of reach. Apparently he can jump a lot higher now... This is the first damage we have suffered at the hands of our ward (we are very diligent about watching him and have been training him to leave things alone) so I consider ourselves luck! :)
Midterm aside, Cell Regulation and Control will hopefully get better with the next prof. This prof was boring and posted new material at 9 pm the night before the midterm… D:
To balance things out I will talk about the nicer courses I am taking:
Environmental SCIENCE: Emphasis on the SCIENCE. I have heard people mention that they were interested in taking this course for the social issues so I figured I would give you a heads up: you had better brush up on your chemistry (and math). It is pretty light on the social issues for the VERY good reason that it is a science course. Environmental science isn't about saving the environment. It is about the science of the environment. Ecological systems, resources, etc and their interactions with each other. I am enjoying it because it is nice to be doing some basic chemistry again. I miss ACTUAL chemistry. Yeah…go figure.
The prof is currently researching involved with NASA stuff talking about air on other planets and the possibility of them supporting life. She also has expertise in mining. She is my second favourite prof this semester (and considering how awesome my favourite is, that is a pretty big deal).
Magic, Witchraft and Occult Phenomena: I already ranted about this one a little but I guess I forgot to mention how awesome the prof is; she is hilarious and frequently references things like Marvel Thor comics, DnD, Arogant Worms songs, Star Trek, Arthur C. Clarke, Asimov, among other things. No wonder this is the most popular course at the university.
Applied Psychology: Interesting and easy. Prof’s a bit odd but that’s fine.
Three midterms next week. Yuck. Can’t believe I will be done in less than three months! :D
