Okey...so...I may have or may not have renewed my City of Heroes account...

Ian decided he wanted to jump back in and play so I renewed my account after he whined for a few days, "Commmmeeee onnnn. Playyyyy with meeee." Game's okay. I came back because he insisted that the latest issues are worth it. The specing system and character creator, as everyone knows, is amazing. The quests are no better than WoW grinding quests, the environments are weak, but TBH, I am slowly coming to the realization that Guild Wars did it best. A good balance of everything.

...I do love the Bat Wings the boy bought me (see above screen caps of my char).

Also - In case you haven't seen the life size Gundam (*cough* Brian *cough*): http://punynari.wordpress.com/2009/06/09/assembled-rx78-gundam-part-2/

I am trying to convince Taiyo to go and climb it. He isn't going to do it though...*LAME.* BUT he is saving some Japanese MacDonald Coke Glasses so I will forgive him.

M-A, have you made the pilgrimage to see the Gundam?

Enrolled in some more AMAZINGLY fun courses for my winter semester - The best part? I ACTUALLY get a Friday off. O_o This usually doesn't happen in sciences because of the hours we have to spend on campus.

Here are the courses (with my commentary):
BCH3125 Protein Structure and Function - I will whine about this. NO question. I know proteins do EVERYTHING but I don't care too much about them. Plus, there is a lot of memorization to do (have I mentioned the Amino Acids and their pKas? I already have a sheet with the molecules and their pKa's taped to my elliptical machine. I stare at it as I work out).

BCH3120 General Intermediary Metabolism - This ain't yo mama's metabolism course. Cellular metabolism including Krebs cycle and probably some ATP metabolism. Joy. Apparently this course is a real bitch. :|

BCH3346 Biochemistry Laboratory II - Potentially my last lab. Yes - it is a 6 hour lab. Apparently it is run by an anal retentive troll who doesn't like to make projects that are possible to do.

PHA4107 Introductory Pharmacology -- Drugs and Living Systems - This will probably have a lot of organic chemistry in it. Drug synthesis is not fun, nor easy but the biological pathways of drug groups will be interesting.

BCH3125 Protein Structure and Function
Protein structure, with an emphasis on modern physical methods used for its study. Advanced enzyme kinetics. Mechanisms of enzyme action. Regulation of enzyme activity. Introduction to protein engineering.

BCH3120 General Intermediary Metabolism
The properties of enzymes, bioenergetics, the metabolic and nutritional role of carbohydrates, lipids and amino acids.

BCH3346 Biochemistry Laboratory II
Experiments related to intermediary metabolism and physical biochemistry. Priority given to students for whom this course is compulsory.

PHA4107 Introductory Pharmacology -- Drugs and Living Systems
This course is an introduction to the science of the actions of chemicals on biological systems. Emphasis is placed on the general concepts and principles which apply to the actions of all drugs. Three broad aspects of Pharmacology will be addressed in the course: (a) the mechanisms of drug action, (b) the use of drugs as tools in biological research, and (c) the toxic effects of chemicals, particularly environmental pollutants, on living systems.

...off to save the City again! AWAY~!
