Detox day 9 - OMG - Almost there.

Feb 12, 2009 09:08

My boss is away today. That leaves me as the only one in our unit. Andrea Bruce, COOP student at large and acting manager of the Good Clinical Practices Compliance Unit. Only not really. :P

Happy 200th Birthday Darwin! :D

I just accidentally set off my new Doctor's Fob Watch in the office. Now EVERYONE knows that Mr. Smith has dreams about having two hearts and that he dreams that he is the last of the Time Lords. /facepalm/ - I got my birthday present from the boy a month early (to the day). O_o He didn't want to wait and gave it to me despite me offering to wait. I hadn't asked for it but did want it. I had mentioned that I was/am thinking of getting the "writing" on the front as a tattoo (though it would have to be drastically simplified). I really like it. :D :D :D

Still having horrid computer problems. The mobo just doesn't want to work. Might have to get XFX to send me a new one. :S

For all the mean things I have said about drivers, I will say something good. This morning, I wasn't near the stop and would have missed the 3 if the bus driver hadn't stopped to pick me up. I really appreciated it. :)

1. Leave me a comment saying, 'interview me'.

2. I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions.

3. Update your LJ with the answers to the questions. (You must do this, even if it's filtered for my eyes only!)

4. Include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.

5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

1. What were/are your favourite kids' TV shows?
I loved Rainbow Brite. No joke. I had a ton of dolls and religiously watched it. I also was a big fan of "Square One" - Mathnet was da bomb. Anime aside, other than that I watched "TMNT", "X-men", "Power Rangers", "Batman: The Animated Series", "Gargoyles" (REALLY loved this one too) and now a days I am pretty hooked on "Oban Star Racer." Oh and "Doctor Who" because technically that is Children's programming. XD

2. Why do you like getting pierced?
This is a very personal question oddly enough. The easy answers are that I like the way piercings look and I do it because I get bored of my appearance (same reason I get tattooed). The harder answer is I like the sensation. I love the adrenaline rush, the warm feeling of a freshly pierced hole and I like the pain. :S

3. Who is the stupidest prof you've had in university, and why?
Oh. Good one. I have been pretty fortunate to have some really good profs. Even the really mean ones or horrid speakers weren't that stupid. HOWEVER my Probability and Statistics prof was a MORON. She never had the right answers and didn't know how to do very basic calculus. To avoid doing it she would write "CALCULUS..." in her answers and then have "the answer" written down. Usually someone would do the calculations and prove her wrong. :S She also had an annoying habit of writting variables in cursive (which is a BIG nono in math) and then would get "m"s and "n"s mixed up. It was painful to watch.

4. Tell me how you first met your boyfriend. Not when you first started dating, but the first time you laid eyes on each other.
It was Canada Day. I was following Heather around and we stopped by Ed's place. Ian was there as Ryan's guest. I thought Ian was being too cool for school and that he was a big dork. I didn't like his hair and thought his shirt was ugly. :P I said to him "What's your deal? You too cool for us?" and it made him laugh. I then said kinda snootily (still trying to knock him down a few pegs), "Nice Green Lantern ring" (he always wears a Green Lantern ring). I think the fact that I recognized it won him over (well, that and my Batman tattoo). I did notice later that he was in fact, IMHO, very good looking but dismissed it. I never thought I would see him again and I got a FB msg from him that said "Nice to have meet you. If you want to chat my msn is #@$@#$@#$@." I was thinking of adding him...or not...but before I could do anything he had added me and said hello. I chatted with him for a week on MSN and we seemed to get along so I decided I would take him up on some "hangs".

I honestly didn't know if I would like him again when I saw him but when he showed up all clean, freshly groomed, I instantly knew I could stand dating him. :P He was sitting on a bench waiting to meet me after my Linear Algebra class drinking some cream soda in a glass bottle - which looked like beer. He had aviator sunglasses on and was toting his "bad boy" attitude. I fell for it. Turned out all he needed was haircut and the last one he had was a horrible mistake. He is fully aware of all of this so I am not saying anything "behind his back". He also knows I am kinda crazy about him now (though I don't tell him much because he will get an ego ;) ) so all is "forgiven" - Sorry this answer was a little long. That might be more than you expected to get but I wanted to include the second meeting so it didn't look like I was a giant meanie. The second time we met he kinda did take my breath away and make me weak in the knees. X|

5. What does the screen name "krk" mean?
KRK goes back to the good old "Team Gwailo" days. We had a DDR team and I used that as my team name. It came from a bastardization of my friend's last name. Her last name was Kwak and Ming for some reason wanted to spell it Kwk. I suggested if he was going to do that we should remove all vowels. For some reason we had been also using "krak" a lot as a bastardization of the drug - so and so would be on krak. I told Ming we might as well spell krak krk and thus it was born.

It doesn't really make sense but Krk is krak, which is crack. So my LJ is named after a drug I never intend on using. :)
