Time to write a little
hey whatsup. So here I am after my nap, 11 o clock even. had plant path test today, pretty aggravating, 20 point question that could have been answered in a paragraph! also, the more tests i take lately, it seems that I know the info being asked, but the question is asked in just such a way that I am obtuse to what it actually is. ~~~!!!
Tomorrow is a special day and me and steph will go to see Krysty after work and all. I will bring them flowers! Steph is going to the cemetary w/ Ryan and I am glad b/c I never want to go there. At least not right now. That's what never means, right? har.
Massive studying again this week. Me and Kate are going to do detox next week when she finds her book. We are doing mini detox right now. Did you know that there are very few cereals indeed w/o wheat products?
We skipped plant phys today after the test and watched TV. It was fun. Jan Zeevart is guest lecturing; he is like a yeller. Phytochrome and stuff. Also, I talked to Jim the greenhouse guy today, who is very nice! I thought he was a little sullen but that is b/c he didn't ever talkt o me. But I found out he was making pots for spinach, for Zeevart. Hormone biosynthesis and spinsch, hmm. Of course he works across the hall from us.
Oh! at work, we are having "success"!!!! Some of the transformed calli are actually surviving! before we were having a problem, b/c we are shortening the time from callus induction to regen plant. we cut out some steps, and we weren't using cefotaxime and carbanicillin (antibiotics) together, to get rid of the bacteria. So right after Agrobacterium + calli transformation, the plant cells were either 1. being suffocated by slimy bacteria overgrowth or 2. just not being transformed. Poor plant cells! right? so anyway, we have some that are genetically altered, and growing!! so we will get some transgenic baby plants pretty soon. so overall it was a good day. I love it when things are going well at work.
Kate talked to julie in her lab about career money in science, and julie said, it's not really about the money, it's about the lifestyle. I can so dig it. I fit into this lifestyle. i like this job. that's pretty affirming.
~~ uncertain about boy issues, doing nothing but doesn't mean i am not thinking about it intensively! That's all i can say right now.
