Wasn't too sure what to title this post seeing that I'll be talking about several unrelated things that's happened from the time I last posted.
New Car
Firstly, twin sis has a brand new car of her own. A 2008 Nissan MICRA (Tokyo Silver) which I contributed about 2-months pays' worth. Since the age care facility where mom and twin sis worked at is now in liquidation (due to major mis-management and investor greed)... the 5-minute-walking-distance-only advantage has been lost and mom needs the other car to get to a new workplace.
I'm avoiding having to look at my bank account 'coz it's really gonna hurt when I see that my hard work and daily overtime for 4 months has now dwindled to such a pathetic amount.
Financial Concerns
World financial crisis is depressing, even more so now with the AUD falling so much in such a short period of time. Overseas purchase is no longer an option at the moment and it's also threatening my plans with sis to go to Japan 2009 Dec/Jan.
Internet probs
My internet has been an absolute B!t@h these past weeks (my comp being the possible cause). I've been having trouble downloading stuff - to the point where a page won't even load at all. It's a big frustration that's really added to my stress from work. Considering this problem has been going on for half a month now and finding out my dad was having no problems downloading himself, I decided to start cleaning out my laptop - backing up everything to make de-fragmenting faster or maybe even go as far as completely removing everything and re-installing the OS.
Work-related
A little luck came to me at work in the form of winning our department sweep for the Melbourne Cup. One of the two horses that I picked out from our fire-fighter helmet was the winning horse. Got first prize ($25.00)... which I later used to get us coffee.
An annoying thing though, seems that one of my workmates searched for me in facebook and has now sent me an invite. But, as I mentioned to my other two workmates when they asked if I had one - I only use it for connecting with friends/relatives from overseas or those I spent time with during my exchange in Japan.
For me, if a certain part of my life causes me stress I prefer not to extend it's influence or be reminded of it by further associating with the people or things related to that part. I really prefer to keep my 3 lives separate as I've always done - | work | family/personal | online |.
...although *online* still seems to be missing.
