ok so there was this tweet from @jinlili asking for those stories you've always wanted to write but never did for x reason and i said that i had a lot and now i am invested in finding those stories, because i somehow keep losing them, be it by computer crashes or drive/overdrive fucking up my online backups or that time i stupidly deleted my old tumblr and with it all the posts tagged orphan fic that are now forever lost.
so this is also a way for me to keep track of those stories. without further ado, here are some of those wips
1. the first story i remember ever thought about writing was original +snort+ and doesn't have a title, but it has its own entry here
2. i had another plot and my old notebook tells me i titled it "mask the sadness" and it's about a boy who receives a text message from an unlisted number saying "i want to die" and he's not in a good headspace and so answers "so die", but his conscience will not let him sleep that night, so he takes his phone and answers the text saying "you shouldn't send cryptic messages to random numbers, it could be dangerous" and gets a call for his troubles.
"who are you?" asks a girl's voice.
"i could be a pervert" answers the boy.
"are you?"
"i could be"
"... it is you who shouldn't be wasting your minutes calling strangers just to be an asshole. please don't you ever contact me"
and then the boy text her "i want to live."
and so it begins a beautiful friendship and maybe something more, but the budding story gets derailed when we learn the boy is sick and dying and the girl ends up crying at his tomb. the end.
3. there was another one with a boy and a girl wrote a song together through a closed door without ever saying a word to each other all through their last year in a boarding school. the boy is a pianist and the girl a rebel without cause with an angelic voice. but i don't remember how that one ends.
4. the first fic i ever planned was sailor moon. with lots of OCs i made up. so, we follow the 90s anime story ending and the Sailor Starlights return to earth and there was a convoluted plot with the appearance of Endymion's twin sisters and the reason why planet earth got frozen until the Neo Queen woke up in the 30th century. spoiler alert, it is because the younger twin and the most powerful sailor in the universe expelled those who'd become the black moon clan in the future to the planet nemesis and almost ended up destroying earth and all its inhabitants, so to save them and to give the planet time to recuperate, she used all her power to put everyone in suspended animation. she ends up floating in outer space, now only a puny human until seiya (from the sailor starlights) finds her and takes her away and they live their lives protecting the sleeping earth. i had like 3 arcs of this plotted and around 15 chapters hand written, but then i lost my notebook and the story is forever lost.
5. then i got into japanese dramas and jpop bandom in high school/college and discovered the beauty of pretty gay boys and had silly plots about jhonny's entertainment idols like this.
6. there is also this one where shige is a college student that does not believe in love, he’s cold and indifferent and bitter (his parents are divorced and he was the apple of discord, not that they both wanted him for being their son, but more like a trophy or to make the other’s life miserable. only that the one who was miserable all along was chibi shige) and then he comes to this dive because he has heard the music is decent.
and so, he meets ryo, who is an insufferable jerk with a poison tongue and a heart of gold, he’s poor and has big dreams, but reality is a bitch and his life sucks. still, he hopes, which is more that we can say for shige.
and this two collide and there are sparkles and lust and they are both hurt and maybe they want to hurt each other too, but somehow along the way end up falling in love and this song is how ryo confesses and shige’s parents are ashamed, like they blame each other for their son being gay and ryo does. not. help. matters, what with making out in front of them (and probably all the big-shots and entrepreneurs of Japanese society) in a gala party (where ryo was working part-time as a waiter to make ends meet) and mayhem ensues. with a twisted happily ever after. and shige smiling
7. the first fic i ever planned and even began writing is this one
so it's a crossover about 2 japanese dramas and the plot went something like there is this shy girl (nobuko) is bullied but thanks to a couple boys (shuuji and akira) who "produce" her nobuko became more confident, but then the boys moved high schools and she ended up on her own, but this is only the beginning of her troubles/adventures. in my story her mom dies in an accident but at the same time she get an scholarship to study film abroad in america and she takes it without telling her "producers" so when the boys come back she's not there anymore. akira does not take that well at all.
jump years into the future when all the characters are now in the process of graduating college/becoming adults when they meet again and become entangled with a swindler (kurosaki) and the girl studying law to become a prosecutor and who is the love interest (tsurara). now, yamashita tomohisa and horikita maki play in those 2 stories different characters, so my story is how akira meets tsurara but thinks she's nobuko and think maybe he gets a second chance at love, but then finds the real nobuko but can't forgive her for having left him behind and there is a lot of jealousy, especially from kurosaki when akira and tsurara get together.
shuuji has his own story arc and character development, but it's just a lot of angst going around. has a happy ending where everyone ends up with the one they're destined to.
8. then i got into final fantasy vii even though i've never played, but have a plot about yuffie kisaragi and vicent valentine in the kingdom hearts universe where yuffie is all depressed because squall got his memories and girlfriend back after the ending of the game where they are back on hollow bastion, so brokenhearted she ends up almost killing herself going out on her own to fight but vincent valentine saves her because i love yuffentine and the story centers about yuffie thinking she's going crazy while getting her memories back while also falling in love with the man vincent has become in the aftermath of a world they cannot go back to and the uncertainty of the future. i can't finish it because i've never played either FF nor KH and it shows. also there. are. so. much. feelings. in. this. fic. but also there was a tifa/cloud/aerith planned if i ever kick myself to finish it. wip currently at 3 chapters.
9. jin wakes up in the middle of the night to someone pounding his door and finds a drunk and confused kame who just says "you're not my girlfriend" before losing consciousness. jin brings him into his apartment and dumps him on his couch, because he can't leave him out in the hall when his creepy neighbor is being nosy.
when jin wakes up, kame's gone, but he has not much time to think too much about it since he's late for class, which somehow makes him late for his part-time job too. jin can't get kame out of his head, because he's had a crush on him since he went to that jhonnies audition when he was a teenager and didn't get in (sparkles if along the fic we get some flash back of the audition he didn't pass). so he has kept tabs on kame and jin kind of berates himself for feeling this way, since he's straight, he has a girlfriend, etc, etc, etc (you know, the drama)
so, he has had all this thoughts inside his head all day long and just before he falls asleep that night, there's someone pounding on his door and he groans and goes to answer and kame is there again drunk and telling him 'you're not my girlfriend.' jin is like 'i thought we already established that' kame blacks out, so jin drags him inside once more.
as time passes, kame breaks up with his girlfriend and somehow keeps coming back to jin's apartment in the middle of the night (or waiting in the cold and empty hall for hours for jin to come back from a date with his girlfriend -on which he can't concentrate, because, 'what if kame is waiting for him? his neighbor is creepy and he must save kame's purity and blah blah blah {did i tell you how bad i was at dialogue?}'- so he let's his girlfriend hanging and runs to kame)
so they become friends and then they fall in love and there's this big commotion with jin's girlfriend who might or might not try to blackmail kame into leaving jin alone if he appreciates his career at all and well, i pretty much don't know what happens there, but akame end up being together forever and happy and did i mention together?
so kame is in jhonny's and jin didn't give back the number plate or whatever, so he never really got to see that the weird janitor was indeed jhonny-san (i'm thinking maybe jin has kept the thing as a reminder of the day he met the boy of his life. not to forget,jin is a kame fanboy in the closet).
jin is (un)fortunate to share the same apartment number as kame' girlfriend. only that kame's girlfriend lives in the next building. so, yeah, kame keeps randomly showing up drunk.
10. "Did you know? They said he died of heartbreak…"
so, cyborg!kame is sent to the past to save human!kame and maybe save his broken relationship with human!jin have some snippets of the beginning
-Tonight, at approximately 10:30 p.m., a fire broke out at a luxury apartment complex in Shinjuku, forcing the evacuation of an estimated 100 to 130 people. The number of victims and casualties is still unkown-
-When the first group of firefighters arrived, they found at least a dozen adults on the fire escape between the third and fourth floors. Firefighters rescued some with a tower ladder and others with a bucket attached to the aerial tower of a fire truck-
-an investigation is currently underway; autorithies state that if foul play is found, the culprit will not go unpunished-
-forensic experts have stated that the fire was most likely accidental, caused by improper disposal of a cigarette. "The cigarette was hand-rolled and not fire standard compliant", head investigator comments. However, they hesitate to rule out foul play. "The timing and the rate in which the fire spread is suspicious"-
-a thorough search over the remains of the apartment complex revealed KAT-TUN's Kamenashi Kazuya remains-
-more details have been revealed, and it is now officially confirmed that Kamenashi Kazuya of KAT-TUN had been inside the building when the fire broke out. Johnny's Jimusho has made a statement-
-fans all over the country mourn over the loss of popular idol from KAT-TUN's band, Kamenashi Kazuya. A memorial ceremony is to be held at Tokyo Dome this coming weekend-
"Yesterday's night, at--"
The static makes the voice come and go, distorting any perception he might have left, broken words and sounds, both from memories and coming from around him, people scrunching up their noses at the charred smell in his clothes and the ash smeared on his pale skin.
He walks the busy street stumbling here and there into animated and unanimated objects, staggering so he looks like a drunk, which would surprise nobody in the district he passes through. Soon, he leaves behind Dōgenzaka¸walking disoriented since his senses seem to be quite disorganized still. He'll need to run a thorough scan to see if there's any lost data or sudden error on the programming or even worse, broken circuits. He doesn't have the necessary means to attempt reparation if that's the case.
His vision is quite fucked up, blurry at the best of times and flickering at the worst, like the screen of a broken antique TV. There's also the matter of a faint background buzz that makes him want to shut down here and now, but he can't, at least not yet.

Jin is tired, feet lagging behind him as he gets on the elevator of his apartment complex. He even has to blink a couple of times before he can see clearly the number to his own floor and push the button, the metal doors close with a ding and the metal box gets into motion. The slight movement in the elevator makes him stumble a little, his back meeting the cold wall, which it's the only thing that prevents him from falling. It makes him shiver a little and he dreads falling sick. Again. Though it wouldn't be surprising with the packed schedule his solo concert has ….The floor beneath his feet halts with a ding, doors swinging dizzily open to emit an influx of bright, florescent light. Jin squints a little, aviator glasses shielding his eyes from the glare of the hall illumination, when he notices a hunched form seating in front on his apartment door.
He takes hesitant steps towards the thin figure, puzzled as to why it looks so familiar.
"Kame… nashi?" Jin calls out apprehensively.
Jin isn't sure if the other is asleep or crying. Though pushing those thoughts aside he thinks of reasons as to why the latter is waiting for him in front of his door in the middle of the night. Did kame just finish filming?
He kneels close to the younger man and taps his shoulder, dreading to have to wake him up if Kamenashi is really asleep. The latter lifts his face up and Jin feels a light chill run up his spine when shining orbs meet his. There is something in those eyes that Jin has never seen before. It was as if they are not in their normal shade of deep black but slight velvet.
Jin smiles back, even though Kame hasn't smiled at him since forever without a camera rolling in front of them. It's hard not to. When Kame is happy, Jin is happy; when Kame is sad, Jin wants to do everything in his power to make him happy again, to make him smile and laugh and mean it. Because Kame is the kind that smiles even when he doesn't mean it and hasn't he become really good at those? There are times when Jin can't even differentiate them anymore.
Jin is not exactly sure if Kame is happy right now, but he doesn't look sad. He looks roughed up and tired, but there's something that makes him sparkle. Like the warm gaze he turns towards Jin and when was the last time that happened? Jin basks on it, preening a little and blushing slightly when he has to help Kame stand up.
"Ugh, did you gain weight?" he asks and a pretty frown mars Kame's face, Jin flusters when his words register in his mind. "Not that it looks bad or anything, in fact, you look good. Very good. Healthy."
Kame's frown only deepens with every word he utters.
"Shutting up now," Jin says, his mouth closing with an audible snap that makes Kame smile again.
It makes Jin's heart go doki-doki even now, when the two of them haven't had the chance to make peace, even when they haven't really fought. Sometimes, Jin gets apprehensive at how much control Kame has over him, his actions and thoughts and even over his own body reacts. they spend a quiet dinner and next day kamenashi is gone without a word to jin, leaving him hurt and angry. when he goes to practice kame is his usual distant self, ignoring jin and provoking jin to end up being distant back for the rest of the day, hiding under his fedora and watching Kame, trying to be inconspicuous, though his efforts seem worthless when he watches himself on TV and it's so obvious how aware Jin is of every little thing Kame does or say even though kame is giving him the cold shoulder.
but then he goes home at night and kame is there quiet and smiley and wishing to just spend time cuddling jin while a movie plays in the background. jin is going crazy with kame's swing moods and never learns the one hes having a relationship with is a cyborg. meanwhile kame feels like he's going crazy with all the nightmares about a fire that kills him.
cyborg!kame is sent to the past with the task to save the life of one kamenashi kazuya, idol extraordinar, while also trying to salvage what's left of the relationship he has with one akanishi jin, so he goes to jin, only to find that his bumpy time travel left him mute . he has superhuman strength and speed, can show holograms through his eyes, and can reproduce the past through this. he can shock people through electrical charge and can also imitate people's voices perfectly after only hearing them once. he appears to be just like a normal person, down to his ability to eat. Drinking alcohol also seems to cause a malfunction in his system. doesn't like being called a robot. head: A reproduction of human neurons via nanotechnology, with molecular analog circuitry for coordination. he is installed with AI, bones made from an alloy found on Jupiter's satellite, cells are the same structure as a human's. As an android, he seems to have 'eternal life', but dies in the fire sacrificing himself to save the real kame.
Special skill: Gradually being able to understand the feelings of humans.
and now i need to sleep i'll post more plots tomorrow

but then he goes home at night and kame is there quiet and smiley and wishing to just spend time cuddling jin while a movie plays in the background. jin is going crazy with kame's swing moods and never learns the one hes having a relationship with is a cyborg. meanwhile kame feels like he's going crazy with all the nightmares about a fire that kills him.
cyborg!kame is sent to the past with the task to save the life of one kamenashi kazuya, idol extraordinar, while also trying to salvage what's left of the relationship he has with one akanishi jin, so he goes to jin, only to find that his bumpy time travel left him mute . he has superhuman strength and speed, can show holograms through his eyes, and can reproduce the past through this. he can shock people through electrical charge and can also imitate people's voices perfectly after only hearing them once. he appears to be just like a normal person, down to his ability to eat.
