Apple and Cheese Crackers

Jan 10, 2005 21:42

This idea came from watching Leander's family put cheese on apple pie.  These little crackers are so good, I  might start putting cheese on apple pie.  If substituting cheese or apple make sure that a sharp cheese is matched with a more mild apple and visa versa.

1/4 block Cabot Garlic and Herb Cheese cut in half then sliced in 12 slices
12 plain crackers
1 hardboiled egg sliced in 12 slices
1/4 granny smith apple cut in half the short way then sliced into 12 slices the long way

1.  Arrange the crackers around a plate with a slice of cheese on each.
2.  Put the crackers in the microwave for 25 seconds.
3.  Immediately press a slice of egg then a slice of apple into the cheese.
4.  Good hot, cold, or luke warm.
