I have 4 days left of work, then I go to Denver for the weekend, then I'm home for about 4 days, then I start the cross-country drive to Denver. Yes, in 2 weeks from today I'm going to be moving to Denver. It's fast but I'm glad it's going like this - I don't have time to second-guess myself. Though I am panicking about money - I keep having to remind myself of what my friend Megan told me: "It's an investment in the rest of your life." She actually has that sentence on a post-it where she can see it every day since she's starting law school and is also panicking about money. It's insane.
Anyone watching the Olympics? I love them. I was wicked impressed by the opening ceremonies. I bet Vancouver was watching and thinking, "Oh shit." How are they going to compete? The drums, the drawing dancers, the creepy lime green light men, it was crazy! And so effing precise! I thought things were happening via computers so I wasn't terribly impressed until I found out it was PEOPLE! People! Holy crap! PEOPLE! Tons of people! Well done, China, well done. DU has a social work class that takes place over a few weeks in China. I'm really going to try to get into that. Faaaaaabulous. I have to see the Great Wall at some point in my life; why not soon?
Also, lots of Maryland pride for Michael Phelps. They're saying he could be the greatest Olympian ever. Greatest. Olympian. Ever. (!!!!!!!)
